چکیده

A direct calculation of the free energy from the Bethe ansatz equation for the Heisenberg model. Abstract Thermodynamics of the XXX Heisenberg model is studied. The trace of the Boltz-mann weight with respect to the Hilbert space is taken in the thermodynamic limit with the number of up-spins being fixed. The expression of the trace gives an explanation why the correct thermodynamic quantities are derived from the string hypothesis. Combining this with the previous result, we conclude that the free energy can be calculated only by assuming the Bethe ansatz equation. The method is more direct than other known methods which were used to derive the free energy.

Direct Calculation of Thermodynamic Quantities for

The XXX Heisenberg model is studied at finite temperature. The free energy is derived without recourse to Thermal Bethe Ansatz method and Quantum Transfer Matrix method. The result perfectly agrees with the free energy derived by Thermal Bethe Ansatz method. An explicit expression of the cluster expansion coefficient in arbitrary order is presented for the first time.

High energy QCD as a completely integrable model

We show that the one-dimensional lattice model proposed by Lipatov to describe the high energy scattering of hadrons in multicolor QCD is completely integrable. We identify this model as the XXX Heisenberg chain of noncompact spin s = 0 and find the conservation laws of the model. A generalized Bethe ansatz is developed for the diagonalization of the hamiltonian and for the calculation of hadro...

Multi-Component-Multiphase Flash Calculations for Systems Containing Gas Hydrates by Direct Minimization of Gibbs Free Energy

The Michelsen stability and multiphase flash calculation by direct minimization of Gibbs free energy of the system at constant temperature and pressure, was used for systems containing gas hydrates. The solid hydrate phase was treated as a solid solution. The fugacities of all components of the hydrate phase were calculated as a function of compositions by the rearranged model of van der Wa...

The Thermodynamics of the XXZ Heisenberg Chain with Impurities

In this paper, we discuss the effect of the arbitrary spin impurities to the spin-1/2 and spin-1 XXZ model. The effect of ground state, the free energy, the magnetic susceptibility, the specific heat and the Kondo temperature are given by using the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equation. 75.30.Hx, 75.10.Jm, 05.50.+q Typeset using REVTEX 1

Singularities in the Bethe solution of the XXX and XXZ Heisenberg spin chains

We examine the question of whether Bethe’s ansatz reproduces all states in the periodic Heisenberg XXZ and XXX spin chains. As was known to Bethe himself, there are states for which the Bethe momenta kn diverge: these are in fact the simplest examples of “string” solutions. The coefficients of the Bethe wavefunction, too, diverge. When there are only two down spins in the system (the case consi...
